Session 1 Overview: This session discussed communications requirements for public safety incident response in an all-IP-based infrastructure. Session participants addressed incident scenarios that involve multiple 911 communications, dispatch and mutual aid, coordination of multi-functional and multi-jurisdictional response, and issuance of public alerts and warnings.

    I submit the FCC is being very responsible regarding the points for regional and consolidated services as it relates to incident response by first responders with many public entities not up to speed with new technology and local , county and state budgets are very scarce consolidated of services would be in the best interest of the public . I submit wireless is always better for many persons do not have a home phone and the disparities are wide within certain areas throughout our country and to hear from panelist that are well informed and committed to user friendly policies…
