Session 2 Overview: This session examined the challenges that disasters and emergencies bring to an all-IP-based infrastructure and to the operational procedures for each stakeholder. Session participants discussed IP-based capabilities that can assist with disaster response and life-saving activities, as well as how the transition to IP infrastructure affects restoration of communications services.

    I am deeply concerned regarding low lying areas such as Charleston SC MSA with limited resources by US DOT regarding roads and bridges and many areas have very weak cell tower connections in particular non households that does not havce modem , laptop and handheld phones many senior citizens are not capable of responding in many areas were acts of gods from Hurricanes to Tornado's as we can see on the Weather Channell . I support the rule that no local , county and/or state government can deny areas access do to private lobbyist that has the power to undermine…
